Invest4Success Expo Focussed on Cavan, Leitrim, Longford and Roscommon

3rd November 2017

Local Authorities from Cavan, Leitrim, Longford and Roscommon in conjunction with Bord Na Mona and the ESB are joining together to host an expo and seminar in Croke Park on Thursday 3rd November 2016. This unique approach will bring together successful businesses from across the Upper Shannon Erne region to tell their story and spread the message that the area is a top destination for investment.

Not only is the region looking to secure future investment it also wants to bring home many of its diaspora. Minister Heather Humphreys will open the expo which will provide an opportunity for businesses in the region to showcase the high quality jobs they have on offer. The event is supported by, and will hear the stories behind, some of the major organisations already locating there such as Centre Parcs, Vistamed, Abbot Diagnostics and Cora Systems.

The region is fast becoming an incubator for SME’s and start up companies. The event will showcase the potential opportunities and particular advantages for setting up a business in the region. A better quality of life for those who work in these counties combined with access to top tourism amenities illustrates the benefits on offer to those locating here. Tommy Ryan, Chief Executive of Cavan County Council said

‘The message is quite simple. This region is open for business and has huge growth potential. Working together as four counties we can offer a unique development base for companies. We need to bring our message to the market and I know our diaspora will help us do that. This is a great chance to look at the wider potential opportunities for investment in the Upper Shannon Erne Region and to meet with businesses operating successfully here. Medical Devices/Pharma, Global Services, Tourism and Food are just some of the topics for discussion on the day. It will give a valuable networking opportunity to meet companies currently hiring and to discuss your business ideas and supports available with agencies.’

The Shannon Erne region is already recognised as an ideal location for corporate team building events, group tours or family holidays in this vibrant region. The diverse range of local SME’s recruiting on the 3rd of November in Croke Park demonstrates the opportunities for skilled and talented people to work in these four counties.

November 3rd marks a major step in providing recognition that this region is open for business and ready for further development.

This is a free event where everybody is welcome and members of the public are urged to come along to network and discover more.
