The WiSAR Technology Gateway holds information day on the 'Internet of Things' at its Killybegs Campus

The WiSAR Technology Gateway organised an information day at its Killybegs Campus on 13 May. The subject was ‘The Internet of Things, bringing Innovation to Every Business’  and the event addressed how to bring an internet-enabled product from concept to production. Speakers were drawn from industry, academia and Enterprise Ireland. 40 people attended, including representatives of several businesses from the North West. Cases studies and demonstrations of actual projects completed by the WiSAR Lab were also presented.

The WiSAR Lab is an Enterprise Ireland funded Technology Gateway based in the CoLab in the Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT). The core objective of the WiSAR Gateway is to become a hub of technology solutions for companies locally and nationally, utilising its platform of wireless sensor technologies to a variety of targeted sectors from systems for health monitoring, RF design and testing to applications of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) for the optimisation of industrial processes. A key strength of WiSAR is its capacity to work with companies to apply wireless and embedded systems from electrical, power and RF design through to working prototype development.
